Silent Vigil for Gaza and Campus Protesters
United Methodist seminary students organized a silent vigil in the Convention Center during General Conference on April 30, 2024. This was a witness action of solidarity with those suffering the genocide occurring in Gaza and with their fellow students who have been the victims of violence as they protest that genocide on college campuses across the US.

Joined by delegates and many other supporters from UMKR and allies in the Love Your Neighbor Coalition, the students organizing and participating in the vigil were from:

Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC
Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia
Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO)
Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois
Boston University School of Theology in Massachusetts
Duke Divinity School in North Carolina
Union Theological Seminary in New York City
Drew Theological Seminary in New Jersey
